I'm John Strickland and this is an experiment in web design. Here you will find applications and utilities for the BeOS that I am associated with. In the future, this could develop into a place to host webpages for BeOS applications, but anything like that is still in the future. Initially at least, the list is quite short as I've not done much developement. My time is largely consumed by school. My current goal is to try out some ideas in web design. My stable webpage is available at john.zont.org. I say associated with, because I've done very little withh xgalaga: hyperspace; I'm mainly along for the ride at this point. I included it here because I've had something to do with it.

I am still working out the basic design, so don't expect what you see to be the end of my fiddling. That said, I must mention that I haven't been good at keeping up with web development, so this place may not change enough to be exciting. Sorry if that's disappointing, but, for now at least, this site exists for my amusement, education, and if it becomes useful, for a service to those who find it useful. That said, I hope you enjoy your visit.

All of the pages on this site are static. I'm developing tools to compile the pages I want at design time. This works because I have static content. It's a good idea because it means pages load faster, it can be hosted where you don't have access to cgi etc, you don't have to have nearly so complicated a browser, and of course a really big one: it's more secure.
